We aren’t afraid to do things differently here at SQN. We have long shied away from the temptation to move into the central London locations preferred by many of our peers. That has, at times, left us off the radar for companies looking for a ‘big London agency’, but it is a conscious decision that allows us to stay true to our roots.
Our DNA lies in the IT and tech sector; we brings together all facets of the marketing mix from communications to sponsorship, event management to PR – and everything in between. Our location on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border, close to the heart of the UK’s leading tech cluster, places us conveniently within easy reach of many like-minded tech-driven businesses.
Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (TVBLEP) has published its Digital Tech 2017 report showcasing what the region has to offer tech firms. In it, there is a reference to a TechNation 2017 study that reveals Reading to have the highest density of digital tech businesses in the UK – seven times the national average.
Companies like Oracle, Microsoft, Sage and HP are already big-hitters in the area, while start-ups and rising stars are thriving. The TVB report cites Berkshire’s seven particular strengths as data analytics, cloud computing, data centres, cybersecurity, telecommunications and enterprise software – areas where SQN has expertise.
We have found that having a presence on the doorstep can prove invaluable when helping clients old and new deliver successful tailored PR and marketing programmes. This extends, crucially, to CSR programmes, where local knowledge can help to develop potent internal communications or human resources campaigns.
With a presence throughout the Thames Valley and staff with local roots, who have honed their skills internationally, SQN aims to be the three letters that come to mind for tech companies wanting to grow their revenues, reputations and relationships – global results, delivered locally.
