SQN has strengthened its team with the appointment of network security and tech specialist Sam Wakefield in the newly created role of B2B and Tech Sponsorship Lead.
Sam joins SQN from enterprise security specialists Fortinet, and brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in B2B, technology marketing, and CxO engagement.
As an avid sports fan and a tech aficionado, Sam is ideally matched to SQN’s unique position as a go-to provider of integrated marketing and communications solutions to tech companies looking to maximise their involvement in international sport.
Working alongside Sport and Sponsorship Lead, Stuart Owen, and reporting directly into SQN’s senior leadership team, Sam will accelerate SQN’s growth in the B2B and technology space.
On the back of a highly successful 2021, during which SQN has seen more than 50% increase in both its team and its client activity, the company is entering an exciting new era, with its most comprehensive offering to date.
CEO Claire Ritchie-Tomkins said: “I am delighted to welcome Sam into the SQN fold at one of the most exciting periods in the company’s history. When I set up the business twenty years ago, I envisaged working closely and collaboratively with like-minded clients across tech and sport. In many regards, our vision was ahead of its time, but we are now seeing the full extent of technology’s role to transform sport, and its capacity to help brands engage with their target audiences. 2021 has been a stellar year for SQN, one in which we have grown significantly, yet we retain our visionary ambition: to put powerful partnerships at the heart of our business. With Sam joining to work alongside Stuart, we are better placed than ever to support a broad client base with a highly skilled and passionate team of individuals.”
