Integrated marketing communications agency SQN has announced a partnership with Greenpower Education Trust on the occasion of its International Finals at Silverstone Circuit today.
The partnership sees SQN named as Communications Partner, sitting as a Main Partner of Greenpower alongside Siemens, EDF Energy, IET, Solid Edge and Hogan Lovells.
Greenpower has been a retained client of SQN’s for the duration of 2019, but this latest announcement will see the Henley-based agency integrate Greenpower within its business, empowering employees to become Greenpower advocates.
Greenpower has celebrated its 20th anniversary year in 2019, while SQN also comes of age this year, turning 18 in December. Sponsorship remains a core component of SQN’s business model with the agency leading across automotive, sport and technology sectors.
Greenpower’s charitable purpose to encourage young people into STEM careers through motorsport fits perfectly with SQN’s own missions and values. By becoming a partner in its own right, SQN aims to use its association with Greenpower to demonstrate the power of partnerships as an integrated and integral part of the marketing mix.
Greenpower Education Trust is a UK-based charity which gets young people enthusiastic about STEM by challenging them to design, build and race an electric car. Working with over 700 teams, they hold 35+ regional events and an International Final every year. More than 10,000 students take part each year, from primary school age through to university, and they have a growing number of international teams from countries including the USA, China and India.
Claire Ritchie-Tomkins, CEO of SQN
“SQN is proud to become one of the main partners of Greenpower Education Trust in its 20th anniversary year. Being heavily involved in the automotive and tech industry, we believe Greenpower should be highly commended for actively engaging young people in STEM careers. We are firm advocates of the power of partnerships, so to have the opportunity to be involved in our own is immensely rewarding.”
Paul van Veggel, CEO of Greenpower Education Trust
“We are pleased to welcome SQN as our newest partner and look forward to working with them closely to nurture and encourage young people’s enthusiasm for STEM. It has been an exciting year for Greenpower Education Trust, and it’s brilliant to have such a large number of companies supporting us on our mission.”
